This portable bag closer is built for fast, secure stitching of filled sacks at the end of a packing line. The hand-held head runs on a 1 HP AC/DC motor at 8000 rpm and is available in single or double needle versions, so you can choose a lighter seam for dry goods or a reinforced double seam for heavier bags. A micro-switch finger-touch start keeps the operator in control and lets the machine start and stop exactly where the seam begins and ends. Because the unit is light and carried by hand, one worker can move it along a stack of bags without needing a fixed stitching table.
A bag closer replaces slow hand stitching with a mechanical chain stitch that holds firmly during stacking, loading and transport. Because the head is portable, the operator walks the machine along the bag mouth instead of feeding the bag through a fixed station, which keeps the work moving at the end of a filling or weighing line. Thread cones are fitted on the machine, and the stitch can be adjusted to suit the thickness of the bag fabric.
It suits grain, rice, flour, pulses, sugar, fertiliser, feed, cement and chemical packing, and works on jute, woven polypropylene and laminated paper bags. Rice mills, dal mills, agro traders, warehouses and wholesale godowns will find it a dependable replacement for hand sewing.
