The DZ 500/2D is a stainless steel floor-standing vacuum sealer with a large 525 x 525 x 75 mm chamber and two sealing bars, each 500 mm long and 10 mm wide. A 900W motor pulls vacuum to an ultimate pressure of 1 kPa, while 750W of sealing power ensures a strong seam. A clear window on the lid allows monitoring and the unit has castors.
Vacuum packing removes air from the pouch before sealing, which slows oxidation, discourages the growth of aerobic bacteria and reduces freezer burn. Food stays fresher for longer, and non-food items are protected from moisture, rust and dust. Chamber machines are preferred for consistent results because pressure inside and outside the pouch is balanced as the air is drawn out.
