The SCS 3HG is a continuous band sealer with an added gas flushing system, which injects nitrogen into the pouch just before sealing to push out oxygen. This protects crisp snacks from crushing and slows oxidation, helping extend shelf life. The stainless Smart model seals at 14 metres per minute on 240VAC input, with a sealing width up to 10 to 12 mm and a temperature range from room temperature to 350°C. A compressed air supply of 1 to 2 bar is required, and nitrogen is supplied from an external cylinder.
A continuous band sealer moves the filled pouch between two rotating steel bands that carry it through a heating zone, a cooling zone and finally a pair of embossing wheels. This produces a strong, uniform seam with optional printing of batch details, and the process keeps going without stopping between bags, which suits steady production. Temperature and conveyor speed are adjustable so that thin and thick films can both be sealed properly.
It is ideal for chips, namkeen, nuts, dry fruits, coffee and powders where freshness and product shape matter.
